Neat & Tangled Magical Day

Hi there! I have a fun card to share with you today using the adorable Magical Day stamp set from Neat & Tangled!

First off I used the Swirly Twirly stencil to create my background. I used Bristol board and Distress inks, and stenciled the Picked Raspberry first, then slightly moved the stencil and stenciled the Wilted Violet. Next I blended some of the Picked Raspberry over the whole thing, then splattered it with water and some more of the Picked Raspberry ink mixed with water.

I colored the unicorn from Magical Day with colored pencils, and cut it out with the Magical Day Dies. I then cut two of the flower petals from the Flower Medallion Builder dies and glued those to the top of the Unicorn to make a Pegasus! :)

I heat embossed part of the sentiment with white embossing powder on black card stock and then the Magical part I just stamped in black on white card stock. I cut these both out using the banner dies from Scalloped Dies and and adhered the white one slightly over the edge of the black one.  I added a few sequins from the Fairy Garden Sequin Mix.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today!

Neat & Tangled: Succulent Cover Plate

Hi there! Welcome to the final day of the May Neat & Tangled release countdown! All of the new products are available in the Neat & Tangled Store NOW!

Today I'm using the new Succulent Cover Plate. This is a really cool die, and there were a lot of different ideas I had for ways to use it. I still want to try some different things, but for my card today I  decided to do a little more watercoloring.

So first, I impressed the die into some watercolor paper using an embossing mat through my Big Shot instead of the cutting pads. After I had a nice impression, I used my Zig Clean Color brush markers to color in all the petals and background.

After I finished my watercoloring, I cut out two of the Succulent Cover plate dies out of just plain white card stock. I glued these both over my watercolored piece.

My sentiment is from the Calathea stamp set, and I white embossed it onto black card stock, and cut it out with a banner dies from the Scalloped Dies. The swirly white die cut you see underneath the banner is the bottom part of the Hello There Die. I thought it needed a little something :)

Neat & Tangled: Fairy Dust

Hi there! Welcome to the fourth day of the May Neat & Tangled release countdown! All of the new products will be available in the Neat & Tangled Store on Friday May 5th at 8:00 am EST!

Today I'm showcasing the new stamp set Fairy Dust, along with the cute little unicorn from the Magical Day stamp set!.

I first stamped the sentiment and the sparkles with waterproof black ink onto watercolor paper. I tried stamping them in white and embossing them, but really liked the way the black ones looked better. I then used my Peerless watercolors to watercolor the background.

I colored the pretty little unicorn with Copic markers, cut it out with the coordinating dies, and adhered it with foam tape.

I added some of the beautiful new Neat & Tangled sequins to finish it up!

Neat & Tangled: Prehistoric

Hi there! Welcome to the third day of the May Neat & Tangled release countdown! All of the new products will be available in the Neat & Tangled Store on Friday May 5th at 8:00 am EST!

Today we are showcasing the new set Prehistoric by Elena Roussakis. OH it is SO cute! First thing I thought when I saw this set was "Pebbles and Bam Bam!" The little cave kids are so cute, and that wooly mammoth, oh he's got it going on!

So I created my background with Distress ink on Bristol Board. I blended the colors then speckled some water and then more of the same ink colors.

I colored all of the images with Copic markers, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and adhered them with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder, then cut that out with a flag banner from the Scalloped Dies.

Neat & Tangled Art Deco Background

Hi there! Welcome to the second day of the May Neat & Tangled release countdown! All of the new products will be available in the Neat & Tangled Store on Friday May 5th at 8:00 am EST!

The stamp set I used on my card today is called Art Deco Background and it is filled with fun designs and some great sentiments too!

So for this  card, I first stamped the largest stamp which is the the gray lines you see. Then I stamped the triangles in some fun bright colors. I used the lines from the background stamp to help line them up. I stamped the square in the center for a focal point and background for my sentiment.

I stamped the big "you" with Versa Mark and embossed with white embossing powder. It was cut out with one of the banner dies from the Scalloped Dies collection.  I adhered that to the center of the card with foam tape, then stamped the rest of the sentiment underneath.

I colored in the little squares at the corners with a pink Copic marker and then added a little dot of Black Nuvo Crystal Drops to them. I also added tiny black dots along the top and bottom of the pink square.
